POVIDONE IODINE IP – 10% w/v
(1% w/v available Iodine)
Purified Water IP – q.s.

INDICATION

Rapid & Prolonged germicidal action against a wide spectrum of pathogenic organisms, including GM +ve & GM -ve bacteria, fungi, protozoa, and viruses.

APPLICATION
  • Pre surgical skin & mucosa including vagina prior to surgery, injections & aspiration.
  • Post operative disinfection of surgical wounds, irrigation of surgical site in orthopaedic surgery & prophylactic painting of umbilical stump in neonates.
  • Superficial wounds and traumatic injuries, including lacerations, abrasions & all degree burns.
  • Eczemas, athlete’s foot and other mycotic infections, oral thrushes, vulvitis and topical infections.
  • Prevent cross-infection especially in hydrotherapy, patients bath.
  • Irrigation of body cavities including peritonitis, post-operative & disinfection of the thoracic & peritoneal cavities.
